Tips:

The first rule: 便宜的票要早訂 !

Shop as early as possible. Do not procrastinate.

Always check out an air fare search engine such as
Expedia.com's Flight Reservation Wizard, Travelocity Canada or Travelocity.com
(USA and elsewhere) to find the best regular fares available to the general public on
all routes, instead of merely contacting one or two airlines.

But beware that Expedia.com, Travelocity.com, and others exclude Southwest ,
AirTrans and a few other low-fare airlines from their comparisons.
Hotwire.com
uses full service airlines and is especially good for last-minute reservations.

Whereas Hotwire tells you the price before you pay,
priceline Air allows you to
bid to try for even greater savings. It also uses well-known full service airlines.
Dr. Voyageur's BidonTravel.com site goes through all you need to know to obtain
the lowest airline fares using priceline.com.

The severe illness or death of a close family member is a traumatic experience.
This grief is compounded if you are miles away from your loved one. Many
airlines offer discounts for last-minute travel in these situations.
Compassionate fare is to visit a seriously ill family member while
bereavement fare is for attending a family member's funeral.
Both fares are non-advance purchase tickets and lower than you
would pay if buying a non-advance coach ticket.
